Greetings, everyone!

Currently, the world is facing the COVID-19 pandemic. As of September 29th 2021, there are 4.213.414 people confirmed to have COVID-19. COVID-19 spreads easily between humans. So, patients with COVID-19 are required to be isolated, whether by self-isolation or isolation in public health facilities.

This isolation requirement separates patients from their families and it makes them have to live alone. This situation creates mental health problems like anxiety and depression among COVID-19 patients. Moreover, COVID-19 patients are getting stigmatized that could affect their mental and psychosocial state. The facilities available in the isolation area can also affect a patient’s condition while in isolation.

Based on that background, SCORP CIMSA UI created SWEET-19: Say No Worries To Self-Isolation in COVID-19. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and awareness about psychosocial management during COVID-19 and ideal COVID-19 self-isolation. This event consisted of several series and events, such as training, sharing sessions, webinars, and campaigns.

Training for SCORP CIMSA UI members was held on October 7, 2021, with the topic Disaster Management, specifically on COVID-19 Pandemic. With the purpose to facilitate participants, especially for those who are COVID-19 survivors, to share their experience related to mental health during pandemic, we also held the sharing session via Whatsapp Group and Zoom Meeting as one of the activities conducted on main event. The main event itself was held on October 30, 2021, via Zoom Meeting and consisted of webinars titled “Disaster Management of The Psychosocial Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic” and “What Should We Know About the Ideal COVID-19 Self-isolation?” with a sharing session as previously mentioned in the breakout room. As the last series of SWEET-19, a campaign was also held on November 22, 2021 with the theme of ideal COVID-19 self-isolation, specifically about things needed to have and learn to support self-isolation.

Through this activity, we hope that people can increase their awareness and knowledge about psychosocial impact during pandemic (including the management) and COVID-19 self-isolation. Therefore, we can stop our worries about COVID-19 pandemic while still avoiding the spread of infection and living a new normal life.
