With the success of the predecessor event, this time, CIMSA UI proudly held LETTER 2.0 with the theme “Awakening Community Potential as Fundamental for being a Better Health System“. We feel the need to carry this theme because in a system, not only one party plays a role, the health provider, but we as a community also become the foundation for a health system to run well.
LETTER 2.0 is divided into several sessions. The first session explained the importance of community empowerment by Santi Budiasih, MD, a pediatrician in Wisconsin, USA. Furthermore, the second session was presented by Kak Triana Rahmawati, a founder of Griya Schizofren, who explained about Sociopreuner and stories from the community empowerment program that she founded. After the two resource persons explained each material, they answered the questions in the Question and Answer session, guided by the Moderator, dr. Fahmi Kurniawan, by looking at the list of questions from the participants summarized on the google slide. The questions posed are highly educated and reflect the critical thinking of the participants. Some ask about the potential of the people in Indonesia, how to improve society’s quality as the start of creating good nation health, to the differences that exist with other developed countries. The various and edifying questions were asked from the enthusiastic participants, making the event, which lasted two hours, not felt as if it was over.
LETTER 2.0 ended with awarding certificates to the two speakers and moderators and was accompanied by a documentation session with the participants. As a complement to the series of events, participants fill out the post-test form to see their understanding after participating in LETTER 2.0 about community empowerment and the satisfaction form as evaluation material for the next event. We are thrilled to do this activity again with more thought-provoking themes about the health system around the world!
